You need to meet two requirements to qualify for this visa: You will need a sponsor who is an Australian citizen or permanent resident who in need of a carer for themselves or a member of their family. The sponsor must be able to show that they or the member of their family has a long-term need for assistance and show that the assistance required cannot be obtained from an Australian relative or from welfare. You must be a spouse, child, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece or nephew of the sponsor, and be willing and able to provide substantial and continuing assistance as a carer.
