Regional employers are allowed to source a wider range of skills from overseas. They are able to sponsor skills down to ASCO level 7. This includes advanced clerical and service workers, such as bookkeepers or personal assistant; Intermediate clerical, sales and sevice workers, including many office workers, sales people, child care workers and nursing assistants; and intermediate production and transport workers, including heavy plant operators, fork lift drivers, and truck drivers.
Stage 3 - The Employee applys for the visa The employee applies for the visa. The employee must show that they have the skills required for the work. As of January 2007, DIAC are checking most references to confim that people are skilled. Applications that don't meet all of the DIAC requirements will fail. Business Monitoring Once your employees are working in Australia, your business will be subject to monitoring to make sure that it is meeting all of its sponsorship requirements.
